Name: Forschungsinstitutfuer biologischen Landbau(FiBL)
Introduction: It’s founded in 1973, it is a private research organization, with 30 percent of the funding from the government and 70 percent from the private and enterprise programs. It’s the pioneer of committing to the Switzerland organic agriculture.At present, FiBL in Frankfurt, Germany and Austria Vienna are equipped with branches, provide advisory and research of organic agriculture.
FiBL, mainly engaged in wine, fruit, vegetable and potato crops’ research, and experimented prevention and control tests of crop pests and diseases by means of increasing the beneficial organisms, taking direct control measures and improving the cultivation techniques.It follows the basic principles of soil fertility and focuses on the diversity of carbon cycle and microbial species. It has played a positive role in regulating organic agricultural production and promoting biodiversity.
Ensuring high quality organic food is the responsibility of the FiBL. It studies fruits, vegetables, wine, wheat and milk from various angles of chemistry, physics, nutrition and taste.The goal of the FiBL is to ensure the quality and safety of food throughout the organic chain.
